Chiang Mai Eats

Pork and rice

A walk-up restaurant in old city that served me stewed pork leg with rice was one of my favorite meals!

Basil

Common on many menus to have holy basil minced pork or chicken with rice. Can add a fried egg on top as well. Phat Ka-Phroa is always refreshing and savory in one dish. Great every time.

Mangosteen

In all tropical locations, the fresh fruit is amazing!! Find in any supermarket or street market. Fruit is everywhere you look.

Chiang Mai is completely different than Malaysia in food. Both cities have street food,  though here in Chiang Mai it is less big restaurants and more small outdoor restaurants. Much easier to walk and find a good place to eat than to plan ahead. In addition, you will find TONS of coffee and tea restaurants/stands on the walk as well.
