Doi Inthanon National Park

Going on a guided tour to Doi Inthanon National Park was great ! Each part unique and so interesting.

Wachirathan Waterfall

Witness the thundering 80m waterfall that creates a small waterfall at the bottom.

Coffee Testing

A tribe on the mountain, Hill Tribe. Home to the Hmong tribes people, learned about their customs and traditional coffee brewing with Arabica beans. Find your preference of light, medium or dark roast. Also tested a few teas from flowers.

Twin Pagodas

Dedicated to the late King and Queen of Thailand, these stunning pagodas offer spectacular views over the national park.

First a stop at the waterfall, which was gorgeous. A quick walk down the stream, every bit peaceful. Then a short drive to a small village where they made us some fresh coffee to taste it fresh and the different roasts. Dark roast was my preferred, by far. The flavor contest is varies so much, even though the roasting is only 2 minutes difference between each roast. We tested out a few floral teas and even one from the coffee bean. Yes, tea from a young coffee bean. Another short drive and we were at a forest with some bridge trails. Viewing the mossy trees was unique. Lastly, another short drive we finally made it to the big event. The twin pagodas were made to honor the king and queen. Each reflected colors preferred by the individual. The king’s were more neutral colors but the ceiling had a gorgeous leaf pattern that was enjoyable. The queens pagoda was gorgeous! The tiles were a lilac purple with art of people, flowers and cultural designs. Standing far and gazing at the pagoda, was unreal. The two pagodas sit opposite one another with steps and escalators leading to the entrance. Each pagoda has many signifances throughout, such as the shapes and colors. Inside the pagodas stands a buddha statue and the walls are carved with stories. There were gardens as well, adding to the beauty of the whole grounds.

The pagodas are right at the top of Thailand’s tallest mountain. Making them the highest pagodas in Thailand.
